Responsibilities
- Monitor and audit pension plans for compliance with ERISA, IRC, and federal regulations
- Investigate and resolve participant complaints regarding pension plan violations
- Develop guidance materials for employers and plan sponsors on pension administration
- Conduct outreach and training sessions for industry stakeholders
- Analyze complex pension plan documents for legal and regulatory conformity
- Collaborate with legal teams on enforcement actions and litigation support
- Prepare comprehensive reports on pension plan compliance trends and risks
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
- Master's degree in Finance, Law, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in pension plan administration or benefits compliance
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRC 401(k)/403(b) regulations, and DOL guidelines
- Strong analytical skills with experience in regulatory audits
- Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation abilities
- Proficiency in regulatory reporting systems (e.g., EFAST2, Form 5500)
- Experience with federal government operations preferred
