Responsibilities
- Administer and audit federal pension plans ensuring compliance with ERISA and IRS regulations
- Conduct complex benefit calculations and retirement projections for federal employees
- Develop policy recommendations to enhance pension plan sustainability
- Collaborate with OPM and Treasury on retirement system modernization
- Lead stakeholder engagement with federal agencies and retirees
- Prepare comprehensive reports for Congressional oversight committees
- Implement risk mitigation strategies for multi-employer pension plans
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of pension plan administration or federal benefits experience
- Deep knowledge of federal retirement systems (FERS, CSRS, TSP)
- Proficiency in pension software (e.g., Millennium, Benefitfocus)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex regulations
- Federal security clearance eligibility or ability to obtain
- Experience with multi-employer plan governance structures
