Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans ensuring compliance with ERISA and federal regulations
- Process retirement applications, benefit calculations, and disbursements with 99% accuracy
- Provide expert guidance to federal employees and retirees on pension entitlements
- Conduct audits of pension records to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams on pension policy updates and compliance initiatives
- Develop training materials for federal agencies on pension plan administration
- Utilize specialized software (e.g., FedPension, HRIS) for data management and reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of pension plan administration or federal benefits experience
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, TSP, and federal retirement systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder interactions
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background check
