Responsibilities
- Administer and oversee federal pension plan operations during night shifts, ensuring compliance with ERISA and OPM regulations
- Process complex retirement applications, benefit calculations, and survivorship claims with zero-error tolerance
- Conduct comprehensive audits of pension accounts and reconcile discrepancies within 24-hour turnaround
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to resolve escalated pension-related inquiries and disputes
- Maintain secure digital records and ensure HIPAA/FERPA compliance in all documentation
- Develop and implement process improvements for night-shift pension administration workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of pension plan administration experience with federal or multi-employer plans
- Expert knowledge of ERISA, OPM regulations, and federal retirement systems
- Proven ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Oracle HCM, PeopleSoft)
- Professional certifications (e.g., CEBS, SPHR) strongly preferred
- Top Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one
