Responsibilities
- Process federal pension claims and benefit adjustments with 99.8% accuracy
- Conduct eligibility verifications for TSP and CSRS/FERS retirement plans
- Generate benefit projections and retirement counseling reports
- Collaborate with OPM and agency HR on pension-related compliance audits
- Maintain secure digital records of pension transactions using SSA systems
- Respond to urgent after-hours retirement benefit inquiries
- Analyze pension data trends to identify systemic improvement opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, or Public Administration
- 3+ years federal pension or retirement benefits experience
- Proficient with TSP, OPM, and SSA pension administration systems
- Active Federal government security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Expert knowledge of ERISA, CSRS/FERS, and TSP regulations
- Advanced analytical skills with pension data modeling
- Ability to work independently during night shift (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Valid U.S. citizenship required
