Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension disbursements and ensure timely weekly payments to beneficiaries
- Review and process retirement applications according to federal regulations and VA guidelines
- Provide comprehensive pension counseling services to veterans and their families
- Maintain accurate pension records and documentation in federal compliance systems
- Collaborate with legal and financial teams to resolve complex pension-related inquiries
- Conduct eligibility verifications and calculate benefit entitlements
- Train staff on pension procedures and regulatory updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in pension administration or federal benefits management
- Proficiency with federal compliance systems (e.g., VBMS, VBA) and MS Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of federal pension laws (ERISA, CSRS, FERS) and VA regulations
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to financial detail and accuracy
- Valid U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
- Experience in client service with federal or veteran populations preferred
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, CFP) highly desirable
