We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Pension Specialist to join our Federal team in Las Vegas, NV. In this role, you will be responsible for administering federal pension plans and ensuring that eligible employees receive accurate retirement benefits. This is an Immediate Hire opportunity for a dedicated professional ready to contribute to the stability of federal retirement systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Our ideal candidate will have a background in finance or government administration. You will be the point of contact for complex pension inquiries and will ensure full compliance with Office of Personnel Management (OPM) regulations.
Responsibilities
- Review and process federal pension and retirement benefit applications with a high degree of accuracy.
- Analyze complex financial data to calculate pension entitlements and ensure proper disbursement.
- Provide exceptional customer service to federal employees and retirees regarding retirement eligibility and options.
- Investigate discrepancies in pension records and resolve outstanding claims efficiently.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal privacy laws and data security protocols.
- Collaborate with internal compliance teams to update pension policies and procedures.
- Prepare detailed reports on pension processing metrics and trends.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a federal background clearance.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pension administration, benefits management, or federal human resources.
- Strong understanding of FERS (Federal Employees Retirement System) and CSRS plans.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and policies.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for interacting with senior stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and federal case management software.
- Associate’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
