Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive analysis and calculation of federal pension benefits, including FERS and SIP plans.
- Provide expert guidance and counseling to federal employees regarding retirement eligibility, survivor benefits, and medical insurance.
- Ensure strict compliance with OPM (Office of Personnel Management) regulations and ERISA guidelines.
- Review and audit pension records to maintain data integrity and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with HR leadership and legal teams to interpret and implement new pension legislation.
- Manage incoming inquiries regarding retirement status and benefit projections efficiently.
- Prepare detailed reports on pension fund performance and actuarial assumptions for executive review.
Qualifications
- Bachelorās degree in Finance, Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field (Masterās preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience specifically with federal pension administration or benefits consulting.
- Strong working knowledge of OPM regulations, FERS, and federal retirement systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and specialized pension administration software.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client-facing interactions.
- Ability to pass a federal background check and security clearance procedures.
