Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end processing of federal retirement applications and pension benefit claims.
- Analyze employee eligibility for FERS, CSRS, and disability retirement programs.
- Conduct pension projections and provide detailed counseling to employees regarding retirement payouts and survivor benefits.
- Ensure 100% compliance with federal regulations, OPM guidelines, and internal HR policies.
- Investigate and resolve complex pension discrepancies and payroll adjustments.
- Collaborate with the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) on regulatory updates and compliance audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, or Business Administration (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal benefits administration or pension management.
- In-depth knowledge of FERS, CSRS, and TSP regulations.
- Strong proficiency with federal HR software and database systems (e.g., HRIS, OPM systems).
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable background investigation and government security clearance.
