Responsibilities
- Analyze pension data and calculate retirement benefits for federal employees in the Cleveland region.
- Review and process retirement applications, ensuring 100% accuracy and compliance with OPM and ERISA regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to federal retirees and beneficiaries via phone, email, and in-person consultations.
- Conduct outreach and educational sessions to inform employees about their pension plan options and eligibility.
- Maintain precise records of all pension transactions, beneficiary designations, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with the HR team to resolve complex pension discrepancies and beneficiary claims.
- Stay updated on changes in federal legislation affecting pension plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in pension administration, retirement planning, or federal benefits processing.
- Deep understanding of the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) and OPM regulations.
- Strong analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail and data integrity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
