Responsibilities
- Analyze federal legislation, regulations, and policy impacts on homeland security operations
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and recommendations for senior leadership
- Coordinate interagency initiatives and stakeholder engagements
- Monitor emerging security threats and propose adaptive policy frameworks
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research using government data systems
- Prepare testimony and reports for congressional hearings and oversight committees
- Mentor junior analysts and participate in professional development programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years federal policy analysis experience or equivalent private sector work
- Expert knowledge of U.S. government operations and regulatory processes
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SPSS, R)
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- U.S. citizenship required
