Responsibilities

- Collaborate with state/local agencies to ensure alignment between federal and state policy goals
- Conduct comprehensive research and prepare detailed policy briefs and recommendations
- Monitor legislative developments and assess potential impacts on California communities
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to implement federal programs across state jurisdictions
- Prepare official reports and testimony for congressional hearings and regulatory proceedings
- Ensure compliance with federal procurement, grant management, and reporting requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of federal/state government policy analysis experience
- Proficiency in policy research methodologies and data analysis tools
- Deep understanding of California's legislative landscape and state-federal relations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to prepare complex documents
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
- Experience with federal grant management and compliance frameworks
