Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate federal programs to ensure compliance with VA regulations and improve service delivery efficiency
- Prepare comprehensive reports and recommendations for senior leadership on program performance metrics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and policy updates
- Manage complex datasets using advanced Excel and VA-specific software systems
- Serve as primary liaison between Sacramento office and federal agencies in Washington D.C.
- Develop training materials and conduct workshops for staff on regulatory changes
- Monitor legislative developments affecting veterans' services and advise on strategic adaptations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of federal program analysis experience
- Proficiency in federal budgeting and grant management systems
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience in data interpretation
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of VA regulations and veterans' service programs
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
