Responsibilities
- Analyze program performance metrics and prepare comprehensive compliance reports for congressional stakeholders
- Develop data-driven recommendations to optimize veterans' service delivery systems
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives across regional VA facilities and federal partners
- Manage grant allocations and budget execution for veterans' programs exceeding $10M annually
- Lead process improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies
- Conduct policy reviews and ensure adherence to federal regulations (VA Handbook 5007)
- Mentor junior staff and facilitate training on federal compliance protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years federal program management experience with GS-11/GS-12 equivalent
- Proficiency in federal budgeting systems (e.g., MAX) and data visualization tools
- Active Secret security clearance (ability to obtain Top Secret required)
- Expertise in federal procurement regulations (FAR) and grant management
- VA-specific experience with veterans' benefits programs highly desirable
- Professional certification (e.g., PMP, CFA) or completion of Federal Executive Institute training
