Responsibilities
- Manage federal grant programs and ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations.
- Coordinate with local agencies in Kansas City and surrounding regions to facilitate project milestones.
- Prepare detailed reports on project status, budget utilization, and performance metrics for senior leadership.
- Conduct audits and risk assessments to mitigate potential compliance issues.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders, including city officials, contractors, and the public.
- Lead training sessions for staff regarding new federal policies and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in government project management or state/local administration.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess or be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and federal grant management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex regulations into actionable plans.
- Ability to travel between Kansas City and New York field offices as required.
