Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance systems and patrol federal premises during overnight hours
- Enforce access control protocols and verify credentials for personnel/visitors
- Respond to security alerts, alarms, and emergency incidents within 5 minutes
- Conduct detailed incident reports and maintain digital security logs
- Coordinate with law enforcement agencies during emergency situations
- Operate advanced security technology including X-ray scanners and metal detectors
- Conduct perimeter security checks and vulnerability assessments
Qualifications
- Active U.S. government security clearance (or ability to obtain Secret clearance)
- Minimum 2 years security or law enforcement experience
- Valid Michigan Security Guard License (SIA certification preferred)
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure overnight environments
- Proficient with CCTV systems and security software
- First Aid/CPR certification within last 12 months
- Physical fitness to stand/walk for 8+ hours and lift 25 lbs
- U.S. citizenship and clean driving record
