Responsibilities
- Conduct security inspections and vulnerability assessments at port facilities
- Monitor surveillance systems and respond to security incidents
- Enforce federal maritime security regulations and compliance protocols
- Collaborate with Coast Guard, CBP, and local law enforcement agencies
- Prepare detailed security reports and incident documentation
- Train facility personnel on security procedures and emergency protocols
- Operate advanced security technology including biometric scanners and X-ray equipment
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain one)
- Minimum 2 years experience in security, law enforcement, or federal compliance
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and security software systems
- Physical ability to pass fitness test and stand for extended periods
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or Homeland Security
