Responsibilities
- Monitor and secure federal facilities using advanced surveillance systems and access control protocols
- Conduct routine patrols and security inspections to ensure compliance with federal regulations
- Respond to security incidents, emergencies, and suspicious activities with rapid, decisive action
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate security documentation
- Collaborate with federal law enforcement agencies during joint operations
- Operate specialized security equipment including metal detectors, X-ray scanners, and communication systems
- Train junior security personnel on federal security protocols and emergency procedures
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and active security clearance eligibility
- Minimum 3 years experience in security, law enforcement, or military operations
- Valid Illinois driver's license with clean driving record
- Proficiency in security technology (CCTV, access control systems, alarm monitoring)
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Strong observational skills and crisis management abilities
- Completion of Federal Security Officer certification program
- Physical fitness to meet federal security standards including standing/walking for extended periods
