Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance systems and patrol federal premises during overnight hours to detect security breaches
- Enforce access control protocols and verify credentials for personnel entering restricted areas
- Respond to emergency incidents following federal procedures and coordinate with law enforcement agencies
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain security documentation in compliance with DHS standards
- Conduct routine inspections of physical security systems (cameras, alarms, barriers) and report malfunctions
- Collaborate with day shift teams to ensure seamless security operations across 24-hour cycles
- Participate in mandatory security drills and training sessions to maintain readiness
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a federal security clearance (required)
- Minimum 2 years experience in security, law enforcement, or related field
- Valid California driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in surveillance systems and security technology (CCTV, access control)
- Strong communication skills for de-escalation and incident reporting
