Responsibilities
- Monitor federal security systems and networks for threats during overnight hours
- Respond to security incidents and coordinate with federal law enforcement agencies
- Conduct vulnerability assessments of critical infrastructure
- Maintain detailed security logs and incident reports in federal databases
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams during emergency response scenarios
- Implement and audit security protocols for remote federal systems
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and active security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Minimum 3 years in security operations or federal compliance
- Experience with SIEM tools and threat detection platforms
- Night shift availability (10 PM - 6 AM EST)
- Proficiency in cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, FISMA)
- Strong written communication skills for incident reporting
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
