Responsibilities
- Conduct security patrols and access control checks at federal facilities during weekend shifts
- Monitor surveillance systems and respond to security incidents with appropriate protocols
- Screen visitors, vehicles, and packages for compliance with federal security standards
- Prepare detailed security reports and incident documentation
- Collaborate with federal law enforcement agencies during emergency situations
- Conduct routine equipment maintenance and security system testing
- Participate in mandatory security training and drills
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a federal security clearance
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years of security or law enforcement experience
- Valid Maryland driver's license with clean record
- Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays
- Proficiency in security technology (CCTV, access control systems)
- Strong communication and de-escalation skills
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
