Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain federal systems during weekend shifts to ensure high availability and strict security compliance.
- Perform routine system upgrades, patch management, and configuration changes on approved government servers.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues reported during off-hours, escalating critical incidents immediately.
- Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments to adhere to NIST and FISMA regulations.
- Document technical procedures and maintain accurate logs for shift handovers and compliance reporting.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain one (SSBI).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT support within a federal or government contracting environment.
- Proficiency with Windows Server, Linux, and networking protocols (TCP/IP, VPN).
- Strong knowledge of ITIL framework and incident management processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently during off-peak hours.
