Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce federal security protocols within correctional facility
- Conduct routine inspections and surveillance operations to maintain institutional safety
- Respond to emergency situations including medical incidents and security breaches
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and internal security teams
- Implement rehabilitation programs and inmate counseling sessions
- Operate correctional equipment including electronic surveillance systems
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid government security clearance
- Associate degree or 60 college credits in criminal justice
- Minimum 2 years security/law enforcement experience
- Ability to obtain Federal Correctional Officer certification
- Pass physical fitness assessment and background investigation
- Strong conflict resolution and crisis management skills
- Flexible schedule availability including weekends and holidays
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
