Responsibilities
- Receive, organize, and maintain accurate records and files for city departments and the general public.
- Assist visitors and residents with inquiries regarding city ordinances, permits, and administrative procedures.
- Perform data entry and transcription duties with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Process incoming mail, packages, and official correspondence in a timely manner.
- Operate office equipment including computers, scanners, and multi-line telephone systems.
- Prepare and assemble reports, meeting minutes, and official documents as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business Administration or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an office administration, clerical, or customer service role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and standard office software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to pass a background check and obtain necessary security clearances.
