Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including street sweeping, trash collection, and park maintenance
- Operate light equipment (street sweepers, lawnmowers) and hand tools safely
- Assist in snow removal and emergency weather response operations
- Conduct routine inspections of public spaces and report maintenance needs
- Follow strict safety protocols and OSHA compliance standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Maintain accurate work logs and equipment maintenance records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Valid DC driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends/holidays
- Basic computer literacy for reporting systems
