Responsibilities
- Maintain and update official city records, documents, and databases with precision and confidentiality
- Process and review permits, licenses, and municipal applications ensuring compliance with city regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service to citizens, businesses, and internal departments via phone, email, and in-person interactions
- Prepare and distribute official correspondence, reports, and meeting minutes for city council and departmental use
- Coordinate administrative functions including scheduling, record-keeping, and document management
- Assist in implementing city policies and procedures related to record management and public information requests
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support municipal projects and initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Public Administration or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of administrative or clerical experience in government or public sector
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and document management systems
- Strong attention to detail with proven ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain professional boundaries
- Valid Texas Driver's License and ability to travel to city facilities as needed
- U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States
