Responsibilities
- Deliver and collect mail along an assigned route in a timely and accurate manner.
- Handle packages of varying sizes and weights, ensuring safe delivery.
- Sort and organize mail at the Post Office and on the route.
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents and businesses.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the mail truck and work area.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and traffic laws while operating a vehicle.
- Update the Postal Service’s automated systems with delivery status information.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or have permanent resident status.
- Valid Driver’s License (Class C).
- Ability to lift, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours).
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly.
- Pass a background investigation, including a drug screen and medical exam.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
