Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026+ innovation roadmaps across quantum computing, AI ethics, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Labs' prototyping sessions with engineers, designers, and futurists
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies with 3-5 year impact potential
- Present strategic foresight reports to board members and investors quarterly
- Build partnerships with MIT Media Lab, Singularity University, and other future-focused institutions
- Mentor junior strategists in futures thinking methodologies and scenario planning
- Author annual 'State of the Future' whitepapers published in industry journals
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategy, innovation, or R&D leadership with proven 2020-2025 tech disruption impact
- Expertise in scenario planning, Delphi methodology, and technology forecasting frameworks
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or relevant technical field
- Portfolio demonstrating successful implementation of 5+ futuristic concepts
- Deep knowledge of emerging tech trends (quantum AI, synthetic biology, neural interfaces)
- Experience with foresight tools like Trend Hunter, Gartner Hype Cycle, or alternative scenario modeling
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex futures into stakeholder narratives
- Published thought leadership in innovation or futures publications
