Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and validating emerging technologies (quantum, neuromorphic computing, synthetic biology)
- Conduct scenario planning for technological disruptions and geopolitical shifts affecting 2026+ markets
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and Fortune 500 R&D divisions
- Present technology forecasts and innovation frameworks to executive stakeholders and investors
- Drive adoption of agile methodologies for long-term research initiatives
- Manage $2M+ annual innovation budget with ROI-focused allocation
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with proven impact on future-focused initiatives
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum computing, advanced AI, or biotech integration)
- Published thought leadership on technological forecasting or innovation management
- Experience scaling technology portfolios from concept to commercialization
- MBA or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Proficiency in scenario planning tools and strategic foresight methodologies
- Track record of securing patents or launching industry-first technologies
