Responsibilities
- Develop 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligning with 2026 market projections
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and validating emerging technologies
- Conduct horizon scanning for disruptive innovations across quantum, AI, and biotech
- Partner with VPs of Engineering to integrate future-readiness into product architectures
- Present strategic insights to C-suite and industry thought leadership forums
- Drive patent development for proprietary 2026-focused innovations
- Maintain competitive intelligence through global tech ecosystem analysis
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 7+ years in strategic tech planning with proven 2026-relevant impact
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Published thought leadership on future technology scenarios
- Experience with agile development in R&D environments
- Certification in technology forecasting or strategic foresight
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful future-tech implementations
