Responsibilities
- Develop strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies (quantum, AR/VR, neuromorphic computing) with 2026 market impact
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and scaling disruptive innovations
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify breakthrough opportunities in biotech, space tech, and climate tech
- Design ethical frameworks for AI deployment in regulated industries
- Secure $5M+ in R&D funding through grant writing and investor relations
- Present vision to C-suite executives and board members quarterly
- Maintain partnerships with MIT, Stanford, and NASA JPL research initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurology (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years in tech R&D with 3+ years in strategic innovation leadership
- Published research in Nature/Science journals or equivalent impact
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, synthetic biology)
- Proven track record of scaling lab innovations to commercial products
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain TS/SCI
- Fluency in Mandarin, Japanese, or Arabic (for global collaboration)
