You'll develop robust future scenarios, drive innovation roadmaps, and champion a culture of forward-thinking that positions our company as an industry pioneer.
Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis across emerging technologies (AI, biotech, quantum computing) and socio-economic shifts
- Develop and present strategic foresight frameworks to guide long-term business decisions and investment priorities
- Architect innovation pipelines translating future scenarios into commercial opportunities and product roadmaps
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops with engineering, marketing, and operations teams to embed future-readiness
- Author thought leadership publications and keynote presentations on disruptive futures and competitive strategy
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions, think tanks, and industry disruptors to maintain foresight leadership
- Mentor senior leadership in strategic foresight methodologies and future-proofing organizational capabilities
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Innovation Management, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 10+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist roles with Fortune 500 experience
- Proven track record developing and implementing future-oriented business strategies driving measurable growth
- Expertise in scenario planning, systems thinking, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI/ML, Web3, synthetic biology) and their market implications
- Exceptional storytelling skills with ability to translate complex futures into compelling executive narratives
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation strategy (books, journals, major media)
