Responsibilities
- Perform General Clerical Duties: Execute filing, data entry, copying, and scanning of documents to maintain organized records.
- Customer Service Support: Greet visitors and answer phone inquiries, directing them to the appropriate department or staff member.
- Assist the Public: Provide information regarding city services, forms, and procedures to citizens and visitors.
- Update Databases: Input and verify data into internal computer systems with a high degree of accuracy.
- Prepare Correspondence: Draft, proofread, and distribute memos, reports, and correspondence as directed by supervisors.
- Inventory Management: Assist in the tracking and ordering of office supplies and equipment.
- Support Special Projects: Execute ad-hoc administrative tasks and assist senior staff with various operational projects.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required; equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Computer Literacy: Basic proficiency in using computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with the public and staff.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to focus on details and maintain accurate records without constant supervision.
- Reliability: Ability to work a full-time schedule (typically Monday through Friday) with punctuality.
