Responsibilities
- Review and process pension and benefit claims with a high degree of accuracy and adherence to strict deadlines.
- Respond to inquiries from government employees and retirees regarding payroll deductions and pension vesting.
- Maintain accurate, confidential digital and physical records of all personnel and financial transactions.
- Collaborate with the finance and legal departments to ensure full compliance with state and federal pension laws.
- Conduct regular audits of pension data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Prepare and distribute monthly reports regarding pension fund status and contribution rates.
- Assist in the training of junior staff on government protocol and administrative procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in government administration, payroll processing, or human resources.
- Strong working knowledge of federal and state pension regulations and compliance standards.
