Role Overview:
The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, managing complex information flow and ensuring adherence to city protocols. This is an opportunity to serve the community of Seattle with pride and stability.
Responsibilities
- Manage high-volume correspondence, emails, and inter-departmental communications with precision and professionalism.
- Prepare, proofread, and distribute official reports, meeting agendas, and city memos.
- Assist in the coordination of public hearings, community outreach events, and city council meetings.
- Maintain and organize sensitive government records and databases in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Conduct research and compile data to support policy development and administrative decision-making.
- Act as a liaison between the public and city departments, addressing inquiries and resolving issues efficiently.
Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen or hold permanent legal residency (required for government clearance).
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience in a government, public sector, or corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and government database management systems.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a focus on diplomacy and confidentiality.
- Ability to pass a standard background check and drug screening.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration or a related field is preferred.
