We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to support our executive team and ensure smooth operations within the department.
Responsibilities
- Manage incoming correspondence, emails, and phone calls with professionalism and efficiency.
- Prepare, compile, and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and reports for executive leadership.
- Assist in the coordination of inter-agency initiatives and state-wide projects.
- Conduct research on public health policies and prepare briefing documents for legislators.
- Maintain accurate and secure digital and physical records in compliance with state retention laws.
- Facilitate communication between department staff, external partners, and the general public.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an administrative or government-related role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and government case management systems.
- Strong understanding of Illinois state government procedures, budgeting, and procurement.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
