Responsibilities
- Customer Assistance: Greet visitors and provide courteous, accurate information regarding city services and procedures.
- Document Processing: Review, file, and maintain physical and digital records of applications, permits, and official documents.
- Data Entry: Input and update information into government databases and filing systems with high accuracy.
- Communication: Answer multi-line phone systems and respond to inquiries via email or in person.
- Office Support: Perform general clerical duties including photocopying, scanning, and preparing correspondence.
- Compliance: Ensure all administrative tasks comply with city regulations and internal protocols.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: No prior professional experience is required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Skills: Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and computer navigation.
- Attributes: Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Availability: Ability to work full-time hours, including some evenings if required by department needs.
