Responsibilities
- Manage high-volume incoming communications, including emails, phone calls, and mail, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Prepare, compile, and distribute departmental reports, memos, and correspondence to staff, officials, and the public.
- Coordinate internal meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and minute-taking.
- Maintain and update complex government databases and filing systems with strict adherence to record-keeping regulations.
- Assist with the processing of permits, licenses, and applications related to public works projects.
- Perform basic research and data analysis to support decision-making processes within the department.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business Administration or Public Administration is preferred.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of administrative experience, preferably within a government, municipal, or large corporate setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ability to learn new database systems quickly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on professionalism and clarity.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with the highest level of discretion.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States and pass a standard background check.
