Responsibilities
- Safe and timely transportation of city staff and officials to designated locations.
- Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintaining accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle condition.
- Adhering to all traffic laws, city ordinances, and Department of Transportation regulations.
- Assisting with loading/unloading materials and equipment as required.
- Providing excellent customer service to passengers and fellow employees.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no DUIs within the last 7 years).
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Ability to pass a physical examination demonstrating the ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Availability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
