Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the integrity, security, and availability of government IT infrastructure during the night shift.
- Respond to and resolve critical technical incidents and service tickets with minimal supervision.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive data and systems.
- Conduct regular system audits, patch management, and performance tuning to ensure optimal uptime.
- Document all technical activities and hand over critical status updates to day-shift teams.
- Ensure strict compliance with all federal regulations, agency policies, and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent military experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, network administration, or cybersecurity.
- Ability to work a rotating night shift schedule (e.g., 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM).
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
