Responsibilities
- Analyze complex federal datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies affecting veteran healthcare outcomes
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards using SQL, Python, and visualization tools for executive reporting
- Ensure compliance with federal data regulations (FISMA, HIPAA) while implementing robust security protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design data solutions supporting strategic VA initiatives
- Present findings to senior leadership through concise executive summaries and data-driven recommendations
- Optimize data pipelines and ETL processes for large-scale federal datasets
- Mentor junior analysts on best practices in federal data governance and analytics
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive data analysis experience with 3+ years in federal government or regulated industry
- Expert proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and R for statistical modeling
- Advanced experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Deep understanding of federal data regulations and security protocols (NIST, FISMA)
- Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights for non-technical stakeholders
- Clearances or ability to obtain federal security clearance (required)
