Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the city's network infrastructure and hardware systems.
- Monitor system performance, security logs, and server health to prevent downtime and data breaches.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues for internal staff and external departments efficiently.
- Collaborate with project managers to implement new software solutions and upgrade legacy systems.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal government IT security standards and protocols.
- Provide top-tier technical support and training to city employees on software applications and office equipment.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar technical role.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking fundamentals.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
