Responsibilities
- Manage IT Infrastructure: Oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and other computer systems.
- Enhance Cybersecurity: Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive government data and prevent cyber threats.
- User Support: Provide technical assistance and training to staff members, resolving hardware and software issues efficiently.
- System Audits: Conduct regular system audits and security assessments to ensure compliance with federal standards.
- Project Management: Lead IT projects from conception to completion, including software upgrades and hardware installations.
- Data Management: Ensure data integrity and backup systems are functioning correctly to prevent data loss.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support or network administration within a government or large enterprise setting.
- Certifications: Active Security Clearance (Secret or Top Secret preferred) or ability to obtain one; certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CCNP are highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in configuring and maintaining Windows and Linux environments.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of federal compliance regulations (e.g., FISMA, NIST) is a plus.
