Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the city's central database systems to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive citizen and government data.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify technology needs and provide tailored IT solutions.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for internal staff and external constituents.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local government regulations regarding data management.
- Participate in the planning and execution of digital infrastructure upgrades and projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in government or public sector IT environments.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and cloud-based management systems.
- Strong understanding of information security standards (e.g., NIST, ISO).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
