Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 technical support and troubleshooting for government agency employees, ensuring 99.9% uptime for critical systems.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software solutions, including desktops, laptops, printers, and network peripherals.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and security protocols in compliance with federal and state IT standards.
- Conduct regular system audits and perform preventative maintenance to ensure data integrity and security.
- Document all technical issues, resolutions, and hardware inventory in the central management system.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to implement new IT initiatives and upgrade legacy systems.
- Respond to help desk tickets and service requests with a focus on rapid response times and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent military technical training.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience providing IT support in a professional or government environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and advanced troubleshooting skills.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, Active Directory, and basic firewall concepts.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (Secret or Top Secret preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with non-technical staff.
- Physical ability to lift computer equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in various office environments.
