Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily operations of municipal infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Coordinate with Federal and State agencies to secure funding and report on project milestones and deliverables.
- Conduct site inspections and quality control assessments to maintain high standards of public safety and service.
- Prepare and review complex reports, budgets, and grant proposals for the Department of Public Works.
- Respond to citizen inquiries and complaints regarding city services in a professional and timely manner.
- Supervise a team of inspectors and administrative staff, conducting performance evaluations and providing mentorship.
- Maintain accurate records of permits, violations, and compliance documents in the city's database system.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in government operations, public works, or a related administrative role.
- Strong knowledge of Texas state laws and federal government procurement guidelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse populations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and government software systems.
- Valid Class C Texas Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical examination.
