Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and hardware systems during the night shift to ensure 99.9% uptime.
  • Resolve incoming technical support tickets, including password resets, software configuration, and peripheral troubleshooting.
  • Perform routine system backups, patch management, and security updates outside of peak operational hours.
  • Assist in the deployment of new hardware and software solutions across government facilities.
  • Document all technical issues, resolutions, and system changes in the IT Service Management (ITSM) database.
  • Collaborate with day-shift management teams to hand over critical incidents and pending tasks.
  • Ensure strict adherence to government data security protocols and compliance standards (e.g., NIST).

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or technical operations.
