Responsibilities
- Monitor and Control Access: Manage building access points and conduct thorough security screenings for all personnel and visitors during the night shift.
- Emergency Response Coordination: Serve as the first point of contact during security breaches, alarms, or medical emergencies, coordinating with local law enforcement and emergency services.
- Facility Maintenance Oversight: Conduct routine patrols of the premises to ensure all systems (lighting, HVAC, locks) are functioning correctly and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Patrol and Surveillance: Perform regular foot and vehicle patrols to deter unauthorized activity and ensure compliance with city ordinances.
- Incident Reporting: Accurately document all incidents, observations, and maintenance requests in the digital log system.
- Customer Service: Assist night-shift staff and visitors with directions, inquiries, and basic procedural questions in a professional and courteous manner.
- Compliance Adherence: Strictly adhere to all city safety protocols, labor laws, and departmental operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Eligibility: U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency status required.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work full-time rotating night shifts (e.g., 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in security, public safety, or administrative support roles.
- Background Check: Successful completion of a comprehensive background investigation, including fingerprinting and drug screening.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse populations.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods; ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- License: Valid California Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
