Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining safety and security on government premises during night operations. You will play a crucial role in protecting state assets and ensuring the safety of staff and visitors during off-hours.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility and grounds to deter unauthorized access and ensure safety.
- Monitor surveillance systems and access control points throughout the night shift.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents.
- Prepare detailed written reports regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities.
- Enforce government policies and procedures strictly and fairly.
- Assist visitors and employees with directions and access during night hours.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance needs.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States and pass a thorough background check.
- Valid Illinois Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts, holidays, and weekends as required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and respond to emergencies for extended periods.
