Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end administration of federal pension plans, ensuring all disbursements are accurate and timely.
- Analyze complex federal regulations (e.g., FERS, CSRS) to ensure strict compliance with Title 5 of the U.S. Code.
- Conduct thorough audits of pension records to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Provide expert consultation and support to federal employees regarding retirement eligibility and benefits optimization.
- Collaborate with the Treasury Department and other federal agencies to streamline pension processing workflows.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for federal oversight committees and internal management reviews.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal benefits administration, payroll, or pension management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Deep knowledge of federal retirement systems, including FERS and CSRS regulations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legislation and apply it to specific scenarios.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-experts.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable security clearance.
